You really need to edit more than add new ideas (especially so close to the show!). It seems like you’re still not clear with your intention. What are you trying to do? Try reducing your work to the simplest version possible, and be clear and direct. It’s in there somewhere.

GUESS WHAT! I changed my mind! Somewhat. Big surprise. I know I have the start of a painting series, but… I would still like to have a sculptural/3D piece. If I stick with the paintings, I was thinking of making my last picture (3/3) a television screen with something abnormal to turn my sperm donor on for his sample… I was thinking beastiality or Hannah Montanna, because I thought about what was so interesting, and it was about what turns people on. The sick side of it, I guess, even though nothing is really ‘sick’ … just illigal. Haha.. SO yeah… I’d paint a horse dick or a popular child star… you be the judge. Or I’ll thnk of something else. YES/NO? A new idea that I would have to finish tonight so I can email the write-up on time (not short notice at all…heh) would be going towards the irony of consumerism and designer labels, specifically Gwen Stefani’s “L.A.M.B.” I have this cool box for her L.A.M.B. perfume that inspired some research. I want to put an object or a gruesome picture like a skinned lamb inside of the box. But I need a reason… I went to the LAMB site and couldn’t find much about the clothing or perfume, but I found some stuff out about LAMB sneakers… for women, men, AND infants… A lamb is defined as: A young sheep. Meat of young sheep. An innocent person. An inexperienced speculator. or “The Lamb” referring to Christ. I find it funny how the infant LAMB shoes are literally made from lamb leather and go for $50.00… And a lot of people buy them! ” DETAILS: Soft full grain leather. Design -it is made of little lambs to match the apparel- Cashmere lining. Gold foil print “rolling in cashmere” on medial collar. ” They actually advertise them with that description… to be funny, MAYBE? I don’t find it very funny. well, I do, but in a really sad way. Putting little lamb shoes on ‘little lambs” (innocent kids! WEE!) I like that. Why don’t we skin our babies to make coats for the sheep in the winter? I COULD totally paint that too… Pam Anderson would be proud. (although a hug from her beautiful rack would probably suffocate me.. meh.) I don’t know if the above thoughts made any sense, but I know there’s -something- there.. I’m interested in the animal-rights part, how it’s accepted and popular in today’s society to kill baby animals for fancy accessories to accomidate our aging bodies, and how we don’t appreciate the basic needs, like warmth that a sheep could give for free (just takes some time!). I’m probaby just in a random PETA mood (*shudder*) but it’s just surprising to see that people would be tempted to buy the LAMB shoes with the description saying what it is, and how some people think it’s ‘cute’ and waste their $50 on them… The last idea is probably not for this show, but I thought I’d put it out there, because at the moment, I have a random passion for it. WHAT do you think, Brady? And be nice. I’m tired. I’ll honestly probably just paint my T.V. screen tonight, but if I do my original idea, it involves horse penis.. AND I just realized that could be considered animal cruelty as well… even though most times the animal is probably enjoying it or could care less.. but still. Is that a tad more inappropriate than the last?

A poor conundrum of late night metaphors.

My dream? I want to live in a place where people are blind-folded. (Yes, I know they have those places in Vancouver..) Then you’re forced to listen, to touch, and to take a plunge. Every step would be an accomplishment, even if you stubbed your toe, at least you can paint a picture in your mind and learn your surroundings. You’d never know who you’d run into, you’d just know their presence, and feel the beauty of a person 5x stronger. You wouldn’t be so afraid of moving on, because you’re pretty much forced to, Otherwise you’d just be a whimpering sense-of-a-being trapped in an open space. The fears would be there, but unreal since you never know what’s there until you move on and find out. There would always be a purpose in life; to figure out each step. Or to run into that person again. It’d be a thrilling chase. (perhaps falling down a cliff… but Death would be only what you make it out to be. Your imagination would think of the horrors or joys that await at the bottom.) And god would be the one without a blindfold, for they will be strong enough to see the visable of this thing called Earth.
